VISIONS for Tomorrow Class
New Class Fall 2007

VISIONS for Tomorrow is a free 10-week class for parents and caregivers of children with brain or behavioral disorders, such as ADHD, obsessive-compuluaive disorder, bipolar, or autism.

Participants learn the latest information on these disorders as well as coping strategies and advocacy skills.

Class topics include:

  • An overview of psychiatric disorders affecting children, including attention, anxiety, developmental, mood, and thought disorders;
  • SKill development to help families cope with their children's challenges, including empathy and communication skills; coping and self-care strategies; advocacy in school, health, and judicial systems; and transitioning the adolescent child to young adulthood.
