Mission Statement:

Northwest Braille Services is a nonprofit organization, whose purpose is to provide Braille materials, education, and information to individuals, groups, and/or agencies.

  • Braille Transcription
  • Braille Book Loan
  • Braille Information Workshops (local)
  • Braille Transcriber Training
  • Resource Referral Service

Braillists of Northwest Braille Services are certified by the Library of Congress. We translate textbooks, menus, books, pamphlets, and other reading materials into Braille for individuals and agencies who contact us. A small library of Braille books and reference materials is available locally. NWBS serves as a resource to the community with educational workshops in libraries, clubs, and classrooms. We also offer referrals and suggestions to people who contact us about other related services.
